Fe Viva provides one meal a day to each student in our Nicaragua school.  For many of the children it is the only meal they receive each day.

We would like to increase the amount of food each child receives each day, but in order to do so, we need to build a cold storage unit.  This unit will store our fresh food and produce to eliminate risk of contamination from rodents, insects and other animals.

Nicaragua

In July 2005, while Kim hosted a short term mission group to Nicaragua, God provided an opportunity to partner with a Christian Organization desperately trying to meet the educational needs in a very poor barrio of Managua, Nicaragua. They visited a school in the slums of Managua and discovered the school of 140 children was closing due to lack of funds. Fe Viva made a commitment to the school teachers and children. "We will keep the light shining and bring hope where there is no hope". Since this commitment was given, a daily feeding and nutrition program was started and 30 more students have been taken in.

The vision is to build two Children's Homes and a Medical Clinic as well as a large school to replace the present overcrowded school. The plan is to purchase land - approximately two acres for $80,000 USD - and build a Bible School facility and Missions Compound, where short term mission groups can be housed while serving the community. We hope to raise support for this project as well as for construction of a Children's Home, Medical Clinic, and School.

Fe Viva's Bible School Director in Managua, Nicaragua is Julio Juron. He is also a pastor and supervisor of many churches there. He is a man of integrity and dedication to God's Great Commission.
