Education is key in ending the cycle of poverty within a family.  We here at FeViva recognised the role education plays in providing hope as well as furthering the development of Guatemala as a nation.  In 2014, by divine intervention, FeViva was given the opportunity to open a fully accredited school of higher education.  We accepted the privilege and responsibility of this endeavor and made it our goal to provide the highest quality education possible to our students; those struggling to provide daily necessities for themselves and their families.  We accept, and make provision for, those hard working individuals who have no other means to further their education.  Because of the support of our partners and financial sponsors, we are able to provide scholarships and maintain family support for people caught in a generational cycle of poverty.  By the grace of God, FeViva is able to  clear a pathway out of that cycle!  

 

 Due in large part to the vision and dedicated hard work of the Education Centre’s Director, Cesia Betzabe Hernandez Gomez, we are seeing the fulfillment of our goal!  FeViva offers a high quality of education for approximately 200 students in grades 7 through 12.  We have accommodations consisting of 8 classrooms with a staff of 9 teachers, as well as administrative and janitorial personnel.  

 

The Vision 

Our vision for the future of the school is to become a leading technological and scientific bilingual institution in high school and college education where productive, thoughtful, entrepreneurial professionals are formed.  We want our students to graduate with the ability to provide practical solutions to the problems in society with an emphasis on biblical values.  Our focus is on bringing quality and educational excellence by taking advantage of Guatemala’s diverse human resources and focusing on the education standards in accordance with the social, cultural, and ethical context of the nation.
